Title: “The Negative Case Against Implementing a Universal Basic Income in the United States”

Resolved: the United States federal government should substantially increase fiscal redistribution by providing a universal basic income–should not be adopted.  Negation Essays should be 800-1000 words in length, offer main body points, as well as fully developed introductions and conclusions.  Additionally, your essay must support all claims with evidence, demonstrate understanding of both the controversy area and the terminology from class, as well as conform to the specific requirements of the assignment.
The introduction should arouse the audience’s attention, state the proposition to be negated verbatim, and preview the main points whereas the conclusion should summarize why your strategy negates the resolution as well as restate the negated proposition, and review the main points.
The main body of the essay should establish: (1) a negative strategy that not only identifies points of disagreement but also points of agreement with the Affirmative, (2) deployment of the 4-step process of declarative refutation, (3) respond to YOUR Affirmation Essay, and (4) advocate that the additional cost outweighs the affirmative’s advantage.
