For this assignment, you will create a “word cloud.” First, download a word cloud generator, preferably
WORDLE. To do so, go to: https://www.wordle.net. Scroll about halfway down the page and download
either the Windows or Mac version.
Once you have downloaded and installed Wordle, select a minimum of 50 keywords from the
book – either from a chapter, event, scene, or description in the book. Select nouns and verbs
and type them onto a Word (or Pages) document.
1. Select a character, scene, or topic (event, challenge, context) from the book that you
would like to analyze and understand better through a word cloud.
2. Create a word cloud that captures the essence of the character or the scene. You can
use any software or tool of your choice, including hand-drawing to create the word
cloud.
3. Write a brief paragraph interpreting your word cloud. Pay attention to the frequency of
the words used to explicate and better understand and interpret your word cloud. Do
you think your word cloud reflects your understanding of the scene/event/etc?
