Imagine you are a fire safety inspector, venturing out in your community to visit a business or store. Your mission is to find something that would negatively influence human behavior during an emergency. You may have to visit a few businesses, but you should be able to locate something of concern. Take pictures and document your findings thoroughly.
Once you have found an interesting or concerning issue, connect that issue to what you’ve learned this module week. How do your findings relate to the building, occupant, and fire? How might your findings impact human behavior and evacuation?
Include the following items in your paper:
A description of the building’s interior and/or exterior.
A description of the concerning issue.
Explain why it is an issue of concern (relate it to the building, occupant, and fire).
The action that should be performed and who should perform the action.
Explain the role of education, inspection, and enforcement in preventing future occurrences.
Your assignment should not exceed four pages, including the cover page and references. It must be formatted in accordance with the most current APA format. Refer to the assignment rubric for detailed grading criteria.
