For example, if you select to talk about the concept of Self-Determination, you will need to explain what the concept is and why it is important for professional ethics. You should also consider what key principles of applied ethics are relevant to the concept (e.g., Are the principles at odds with each other? Do they simply compound on one another? How do they interact within the concept?). Finally, include a kind of “real world” example that illustrates where the concept may have been upheld or violated, and consider what ethical theories may have been appealed to in arriving at the course of action taken in the example you provide.
