“The Fragility of Power: A Scholarly Explication of Percy Bysshe Shelley’s ‘Ozymandias'”

You will be writing a poetry analysis paper for the “final exam” for the class. Please choose a poem that you studied in the second half of the semester, and please do not duplicate a poem or thesis you’ve already written about. I am attaching a poetry analysis essay outline, which I think is beneficial to follow, even if loosely. Your task is to perform a scholarly explication of a poem of your choosing, touching upon most all or most of the items on the outline attached. Remember to make sure your poem is from an English author–not an American author. (Although I love American literature!). Some items may not pertain to your poem, and that is expected. I am also going to take a poetry analysis powerpoint (not required, but may help somewhat) for your perusal. This paper should be approximately three pages and include the use of (minimum) two sources. MLA format is expected. I believe there are some attachments under “Content” about MLA if you have a certain question…I will check, and if there is not an MLA formatting powerpoint or something similar, I will add one. Please let me know if you have any questions at all about this final “exam.” I look forward to reading your papers–overall, the writing in this class has been quite good and varied in subject matter.
The poem is

“The Pursuit of Knowledge and its Consequences in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein”

All important information retaining to the research paper can be found in the file ‘Frankenstein research paper spring 2024.docx’.
I included multiple writing tips from my professor that I would like you to follow (‘Writing the Research Paper – Getting Started, Proposal, and Draft.docx’, ‘Writing Tips #5 – Drafting and Working with Sources – The Research Paper 220.docx’, ‘Writing Tips #3 – Drafting.docx’, ‘Writing Tips.docx’.
I also included my research paper proposal ‘Frankenstein Research Paper Proposal.pdf’ which is what the research paper is about and contains the sources that I want you to use. If you have any problems finding the sources online, please reach out to me, and you dont have to worry too much about citation for now as I will handle that for the most part. But if there are any questions about the research topic, thesis, etc, please reach out! My professor noted that the proposal is great, and the only thing he mentioned is that it would be wise to bring Walton into this analysis.
I also included a Hamlet paper you previously wrote which recieved an A-, an excellent score for my professor so please keep up that great work for this one/use it as a guide! As always, there should be absolutely no plagirisim or AI usage.
