“The Impact of Hotel Green Services on Customer Repurchase Behavior: A Cross-Cultural Management Perspective”

Theoretical Basis and Research
Perspective
This study is grounded in the TPB theory, combining practices and
perspectives from Chinese and foreign travellers . It focuses on how
hotels can influence customers’ attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived
behavioral control towards green accommodation through the development of green
service strategies and the provision of environmentally friendly facilities and
services. Additionally, internal management and operational factors such as
employee training and green procurement strategies are considered to ensure the
effective implementation of green services. The research analyzes the impact of
hotel green services on customer repurchase behavior from a cross-cultural management perspective. It
comprehensively considers factors such as customer attitudes, subjective norms,
and perceived behavioral control, as well as the influence of cultural
differences between
Chinese and foreign travellers on the research outcomes.

“Presenting a Solid Research Proposal: A Crucial Step Towards Becoming a Successful Business and Tourism Management Professional”

This
assessment is an individual presentation of the research proposal that presents
student’s ability to effectively communicate the idea, objectives and research
methodology of the planned research project and justify chosen research design.
The students are expected to logically substantiate theoretical framework for
preliminary research and research methodology, choice of data to be collected
and analysed, methods and procedures to complete the research, as well as the
research timeline and its feasibility.
Depending
on the context, the presentation of the research proposal might be needed in a
range of situations either in the employment in tourism sector or in an academic
setting, where students will need to solve a theoretical and/or practical problem.
Therefore, the ability to orally present a research proposal in a clear,
concise and convincing way and support the presentation with effective and
appealing slides is an essential component of professional skillset of the
would-be Bachelor in Business and Tourism Management. Another essential skill
is ability to handle questions effectively, demonstrate readiness to provide
additional details and justify choices and decisions.
Individual presentation of the research proposal is the final assignment
in Level 5, and logically prepares students to undertaking a dissertation at
Level 6. By presenting this assignment, students must demonstrate they have achieved
their learning objectives, i.e. have knowledge and understanding of approaches
to research design and are able to evaluate the usefulness of various methods
and techniques for primary data-gathering and analysis, ethical, practical and
theoretical considerations and limitations of their research

Title: “Examining the Impact of Tourism Policy on the Diversification and Sustainability of the Saudi Arabian Economy: A Three-Year PhD Study”

I have a well written research proposal, however, it needs to be edited according to the following comment: “This is a good start, but at present is not a PhD standard. While the proposal covers some interesting context, the academic rationale and contribution of the study requires further development. While the KSA’s and MBS’s 2030 Vision is a very popular topic for research, the basis of the focus on tourism is the diversification of the economy and the growth/development of the tourism product (rather than diversification itself). Pilgrimage tourism to KSA will still take place, but the policy is to grow other tourism markets/products alongside this. Therefore, to develop your proposal to PhD standard it would be useful to engage with the wider academic literature on tourism policy, and specifically tourism policy for growth. In recent years there has been a lot of academic debate on growth policy in conjunction with the focus on sustainability (which is another key facet of the 2030 Vision), and how to resolve the paradox between tourism growth and sustainability. The other key areas that you might want to focus on are the research questions and the methodology. In PhD research the research questions/objectives need to go beyond an evaluation and analysis of existing data, and contribute to academic knowledge. PhD research also entails the collection of primary data, rather than the analysis of secondary data, so these are things that you need to consider when developing your proposal further.” Also, I would like the title to be changed accordingly, as well as the time frame to be edited into 3 years total.
