in the area of the economics of the family. This will involve descriptive data work, regression
analysis, and advanced econometric techniques as appropriate. The goal is to do a thorough analysis
that addresses issues of data quality, sample selection, and causality. You will rely heavily on material
from Econometrics (EC 30331), and will also use the statistical software package Stata. You will be
responsible for obtaining your own data, likely from a publicly available government data source.
The project must have a clearly defined research question and must employ analytical methods
examined in this class such as regression analysis
