The aim of this task is to cultivate and test your ability to:
(i) reflect on how your own understanding has developed and what has prompted
that development
(ii) recognise the similarities and differences between your own thinking and that
of others
Your reflective piece (Assignment B) may be written in a more personalised and
reflective style than the academic essay (Assignment A) but should still adhere to
rigorous standards of referencing. In order to avoid repetition of material, you are advised
to focus on different theoretical ideas and aspects of British foreign policy in the two
assignments.
