“The Impact of Ethics on Professional Development: A Reflection on Principles and Values in Law & Ethics” “Applying Analytic Thinking: Making Connections and Applying Learning to a Broader Context”

In philosophy, Ethics examines morality by studying human behavior and its guiding principles. Even though there are different theories, the main idea is usually about doing the right thing. Ethical dilemmas happen when two or more principles are at odds, leading to different decisions that are influenced by the values associated with them. Clinicians will encounter ethical dilemmas in their careers, but a good understanding of ethics provides the framework to navigate them. Instructions: Discuss which principles and values have impacted you the most in Law & Ethics that will help you in your professional career.
Write a reflection using Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri font, size 12-point with 1.5 spacing, at least one page.

Please use:
Font and Font Size: Arial, Calibri or Times New Roman – 12pt. Spacing: 1.5 Format: Summarization (does not need to be in APA 7)
Some starting questions to help you with your summarization are (you do not need to limit your summarization to these listed questions – there is no right or wrong answer when writing your reflection as you compare and contrast the different opportunities that you can do as an RDH). 1. Of the different speakers you heard, which career change interested you most (if any)? 2. Why did that particular field interest you over the others? 3. “Cultural Competence in Oral Health: Understanding and Respecting Diverse Identities and Traditions”

Culture is a primary force in the creation of a person’s identity. Oral health professionals who are culturally competent are
better able to understand and respect their patients’ identities and related cultural ways of life. Each student must present
their group of diverse racial and ethnic groups to class by sharing their life experiences, values, and traditions in
life and medical/dental treatment. Students working in pairs must research and may interview their group to gain
information. As an option for creative purposes present NOT as a PowerPoint but present in cultural costumes and provide
traditional food. Submit notes on Canvas (Under Assignments) individually for credit

“Critical Review of Dentemp Repair-It Advanced Formula Denture Repair Kit”

Review of Dentemp Repair-It Advanced Formula Denture Repair Kit
1. Description of the Advert and the Product
The Dentemp Repair-It Advanced Formula Denture Repair Kit is marketed as a solution for repairing broken or cracked dentures and loose teeth. It claims to be safe, easy to use, and effective in addressing denture-related issues. The kit includes a liquid and powder blend that allows users to mend their dentures at home.
2. Critique of Advertised Benefits/Claims with Supporting Research
The advertised benefits include quick and inexpensive denture repair. However, it’s essential to critically evaluate these claims:
– **Quick Repair**: The Dentemp Repair-It kit does provide a fast solution for emergency repairs, allowing users to fix breaks and cracks within minutes. However, long-term durability may vary.
– **Inexpensive**: Compared to professional denture repairs, this kit is cost-effective. But its longevity and quality should be considered.
3. Source of Research and Bias
The research supporting Dentemp’s claims is not explicitly mentioned in the product description. It’s unclear whether the company conducted its own research or relied on existing studies. Without peer-reviewed sources, there’s potential for bias. Users should approach this product with caution.
4. Backing for Advertised Claims
While I couldn’t find specific research directly supporting Dentemp’s claims, anecdotal evidence suggests that the kit can provide temporary fixes. However, long-term outcomes may vary based on individual circumstances.
5. Recommendation to Patients
Based on my research findings, I would recommend this product with reservations: – For Emergency Use: Dentemp Repair-It is suitable for emergency situations when professional help isn’t immediately available. – Temporary Solution: Patients should view it as a temporary fix until they can visit a dentist for proper repairs. – Not a Permanent Solution: It’s not a substitute for professional denture repair, especially for complex issues.
6. Adequacy of Ad Information
The ad provides basic information about the product’s purpose and usage. However, it lacks details on potential risks, limitations, and long-term effects. Users should seek additional information before using the kit.
7. ADA Acceptance and Comparison to At-Home Denture Repair Kits
The Dentemp Repair-It kit is not explicitly ADA accepted. When comparing it to other at-home denture repair kits, users should consider factors like ease of use, safety, and effectiveness. Some kits, like the Instant Smile Multi-Purpose Denture Repair Kit, have mixed reviews2. Professional dental care remains the gold standard.
In summary, while the Dentemp Repair-It kit can serve as a temporary solution, patients should prioritize professional dental care for lasting results. Always consult a dentist for comprehensive denture repairs and maintenance.
