Research Paper
Your research paper grades are comprised of 2 parts – the proposal and the paper. Midsemester you will complete the
proposal form indicating your choice of topic, duties of each partner and an annotated bibliography of the sources to be
used.
General Requirements:
1. Use APA style and make sure to document all your references — reputable websites are fine but no textbooks or online
encyclopedias. You must have a minimum of 3 references that are peer reviewed and published since 2016.
2. Do not include any direct quotes — always rephrase and then reference!
3. Be sure that you are using in-text references so I can tell where you got the information from — don’t just list them at the
end.
4. The paper should be ~1500-2000 words in length excluding the references section.
Failure to meet any of the minimum requirements or the word minimum could result in a zero.
Proposal requirements & Paper rubric:
The proposal must have the following elements:
1. A focused topic statement
2. An annotated bibliography that includes at least 5 current references and at least 3 of those must be peer reviewed
journal articles
