“Genetic Disorder and Inheritance Patterns: A Three-Generation Family Pedigree Analysis and Educational Plan”

Scenario
Your preceptor is planning a training session for all new nurses to review principles of genetics and genomics using data from a three-generation family pedigree. The preceptor asks for your help building a genogram to demonstrate patterns of inheritance. You agree to do some reading, describe a genetic disorder, and provide a genogram that would indicate how this disorder is transferred over generations. Your preceptor asks you to pick one disorder from the list below:
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
Hemochromatosis
Neurofibromatosis
Hemophilia A
Tay-Sachs disease
Von Willebrand Disease
X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy
Instructions
Include this content in your Word document:
Description of the selected genetic disorder, including clinical manifestations and pattern of inheritance.
A three-generation family pedigree and genogram with standard symbols and terminology.
Analysis of the pedigree and genogram, including:
Identification of affected and carrier individuals
Actual and potential health risks
Explanation of the methods of genetic testing for the selected disorder.
Description of the educational needs of the client and family, including specific examples and supporting rationales.

Green Belt Project – The Analyze Phase Stem and Leaf Plot for Downtimes in Patient Wait Times | Stem | Leaf | |——|——| | 0 | 6, 7 | |

Green Belt Project – The Analyze Phase
Create a stem and leaf plot for the downtimes that were captured from the patient wait times in the waiting rooms. (See Appendix D for data set.).
Calculate measures of central tendency with downtime data. What can you interpret from these measures? Please document a conclusion. (See Appendix D for data set.).
Calculate measures of dispersion with downtime data. What can you interpret from these measures? Please document a conclusion (See Appendix D for data set.).
Two individual staff members were being observed performing identical activities in the doctor’s office. Twenty-five random samples were taken for each staff member. One of the medical assistants is a new employee. Medical Assistant #1 has been with Dr. Deasley for several years. Medical Assistant #2 is a new employee and has been with this medical practice for nine months. We want to determine how Assistant 2 performs when compared to Assistant 1, since she is a new employee. (See Appendix E for data sets.).
Please provide the following information based on your analysis of the two medical assistants.
Medical Assistant #2 average.
Medical Assistant #2 standard deviation.
Null hypothesis.
Alternative hypothesis.
T-test statistic.
Critical value.
Statistical conclusion for the null and alternative hypothesis.

Conclusion and Reference to Support Daily Step Count for Weight Control Based on my data analysis, my hypothesis that I walk at least 8,000 steps per day was not supported. Over the 5-day experimental period, my average daily

Develop a conclusion based on your data analysis and reference at least one article related to your data and/or conclusion. Your conclusion must be at least two paragraphs in length (minimum of 4-5 sentences per paragraph). The first paragraph must explain if your hypothesis is supported by your data and include at least one reason to explain why. The second paragraph must include a brief explanation of at least one article that relates to your data and/or conclusion and explain at least one source of error in the experiment that may affect the data and/or conclusion. Use the websites below or any reputable website to select an article to reference in your conclusion. Please note that reputable websites have web addresses that end with .edu, .gov, and .org. The article that is referenced must be at least two pages in length, and it must include data/statistics related to your conclusion. Please provide the title of the article and include the specific link to it.
EXAMPLE:
According to my experiment, my data does not support my hypothesis that I walk at least 8,000 steps per day. From the 5-day experimental period, I walked on average 7735.2 steps per day. Scientists have concluded that more than 10,000 steps per day may be necessary to maintain a person’s weight. Prior to this experiment, I thought I walked enough steps to maintain my metabolism, but now I’m interested in how to increase my steps to maintain a healthy weight.
A collaborative study of 14 researchers established guidelines for the number of steps necessary for weight control. (Continue this paragraph with a brief explanation of the article and how it relates to the experimental data and/or conclusion. Please remember to include a brief explanation of at least one source of error in your experiment as well.)
What I have uploaded is the experiment that I did, please let me know if you have any questions.

Exploring the Relationship Between Mental Health and Depression in Adolescents: A NHANES Study

Biostatistics
The SPSS project proposal is designed to help students prepare for the SPSS project, which is due at the end of the semester.
Instructions: Download and complete the attached worksheet.
Assignment Details
Due date: The project proposal is due by 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, March 31. Late submissions will not be accepted or graded.
Please complete the assignment on the document provided Please include all SPSS graph outputs on the document. All interpretations need to have statistical evidence (e.g., p-value) in their interpretations.
I have attached the SPSS file where I combined the two NHANES datasets: Demographic (DEMO_J) and Medical Conditions (MCQ_J). It is ready to be combined with another dataset. However, I need to find another data set to support my project. I want my project to be about adolescents ages 12–17 mental health and depression.
The data for youth aged 12–17 years is available through the NCHS Research Data Center, and you can combine it with the NHANES data file.
link to the public use data page
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data_access/ftp_data.htm
Here is the CDC link for the NHANES Mental Health – Depression Screener (DPQ_J) information and also the data file if you need the data: https://wwwn.cdc.gov/Nchs/Nhanes/2017-2018/DPQ_J.XPT
This is data on the 18 and up, so if you can’t find the 12–17 data file, use it.
if you have any questions please message me and ill get back you as soon as possible.
