Directions: Please submit a list of annotated sources that you plan to use for your research project. Annotation means that you should summarize the source, evaluate it, and explain how it is helping with your research. Please see the example of annotated sources Download see the example of annotated sources and the rubric below for further guidance. Late submissions will be penalized.
About Sources: If I asked you to revise your list of sources after you submitted your research proposal, then you will need to have done so to receive full credit for this assignment. You may also include new sources and eliminate sources from your list that you have found are not relevant to your research.
You will need a minimum of five academic/scholarly sources.
The number of primary sources depends on your paper topic (you will have received feedback about it after submitting your research proposal). If your paper is about a song or a movie, then it alone might be sufficient as a primary source. Other topics might require more primary sources. Ask yourself: do my sources help me answer my research question?
If you are using secondary sources that are not academic/scholarly (Websites, Documentaries, Contemporary Newspapers, etc.) then please annotate them in your list of sources.
The citation style should be Chicago Manual of Style Notes and Bibliography.
I would like your papers to use the Chicago Notes and Bibliography style of citation (Chicago NB).
