ead Chapters 24 and 25 prior to completing this assignment.  Many case studies are included in your textbook.  This exercise will help you to learn vocabulary and how to analyze the case and write a brief of the case.
For every Case Brief:
You must find a case related to the weekly chapter (s).  You can pull your case from the book or from the internet as long as you cite the sources.
Please write a short synopsis of the case using the brief outline below, no longer than two pages. The synopsis should be typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 font, and printed in black ink.
For expectations on how to brief a case, please review the following document:
How to Brief a Case.doc
Case brief written assignment expectations:
Facts: This should be a quick list of facts, but make sure to include any legally significant facts.
Procedural history:These are notes about the journey the case has taken through the court system.
Issue presented:What is the legal issue that the court is discussing? Note, there can be more than one issue.
Holding:This is the ruling of the court. If the issue presented is a question for the court to answer, then the holding is the answer to that question.
Legal reasoning: This is a quick summary of the thought process used by the court to reach their conclusion.
Rule of law: If the court applied any rules of law that are important, you want to write that down too.
Concurring or dissenting opinions (if any): If your casebook included a concurring or dissenting opinion in your reading, you will need to read it carefully. It is there for a reason.

Title: Legal Analysis of DotTV’s Bid for Golf.tv Domain Name

magine your attorney has asked you to research the following questions. Your assignment is to write a memo to your supervising attorney answering the questions. Please note that if you are writing a legal memo to an attorney or judge, usually one or two sentences are not enough to adequately explain the answer.  You should provide a thorough explanation. You should also use IRAC, where appropriate.
As different attorneys require different forms of legal memoranda for their practices, I won’t require a specific format. But, the assignment should be written in memo form. I will include a couple of websites that explain the format of a legal memo.

Please draft a memo regarding the following issue;
DotTV posted the Internet domain name golf.tv on its website, to be sold to the highest bidder. Je Ho Lim submitted the highest bid: $1,010. DotTV sent an e-mail to Lim congratulating him on winning the bid and concluded with the statement: “See ya on the new frontier of the Internet!” Shortly thereafter, DotTV sent a second e-mail stating that they were releasing Lim from his bid and that the prior e-mail had been sent in error. DotTV then publicly offered the domain name with an opening bid of $1 million. Was Lim’s bid an invitation or an offer? Why does it matter? Do you think Lim or DotTV won the lawsuit?
