INSTRUCTIONS
PowerPoint presentation in PDF format
You will give an oral presentation of at least 5 minutes but not longer than 7 minutes, using a PowerPoint, on the topic that you are pursuing in your final essay.
QUALITY OF THE POWERPOINT PRESENTATION: Excellent use of visual support, text kept to a minimum on the slides (5 marks).
STRUCTURE: your PowerPoint and oral presentations follow the requirements indicated below (5 marks).
CONTENT REQUIREMENTS ( 20 marks)
Your presentation must follow the Rogerian model of argument and include in this order:
FIRST SLIDE (2 marks) must include the same title you have used for your Literature Review plus the course and student information.
FIVE CONTENT SLIDES (3 marks each):
1. A point-form statement of the objectives of your presentation
In your oral presentation, you must provide a thorough but concise explanation of the topic you are pursuing along with relevant background information.
2. A point-form list of the points that both sides have in common on which you elaborate in your oral presentation.
3. A short explanation of the counterargument on which you elaborate in your oral presentation in an empathetic way.
4. A thorough explanation of your side of the argument.
5. The rational recommendations for reconciliation and/or compromise
LAST SLIDE (3 marks) must include the Works Cited list formatted in the MLA style.
