Title: The Influence of Media on Society: A Critical Analysis Using Communication Theory

You are to write a 8-10 page paper about the impact of the media on a specific society. 
You are to choose one or more media artifacts to analyze (possibly 2-3 advertisements, videos, newscasts, Facebook posts, etc…). Remember, you must apply one of the communication/media theories from the theories module.   Be sure to utilize a minimum of 6 peer-reviewed sources. Choose one or more media artifacts to analyze (advertisements, videos, newscasts, Facebook posts, etc…) and using these artifacts, write a 8-10 page paper about the impact of the media on a specific culture/society.
Make sure your paper supports a central thesis.
Use one of the communication/media theories reviewed in class over the course of the semester to support that thesis. 
Be sure to choose sources from independent research, (go to a librarian if you have to) and use a minimum of 6 peer-reviewed sources.

Final Assignment & Rubric

You are to choose one or more media artifacts to analyze (possibly 2-3 advertisements, videos, newscasts, Facebook posts, etc…). Remember, you must apply one of the communication/media theories from the theories module.   Be sure to utilize a minimum of 6 peer-reviewed sources.
Please review the rubric information in the attached document.
Your final paper/presentation asks you to:
Choose one or more media artifacts to analyze (advertisements, videos, newscasts, Facebook posts, etc…) and using these artifacts, write a 8-10 page paper about the impact of the media on a specific culture/society.
