Title: Annotated Outline: The Biopsychosocial Factors of John Wayne Gacy’s Criminal Behavior

John Wayne Gacy
Assume you have been hired as a mitigation specialist by this individual’s defense attorney to investigate, analyze, and present the underlying biopsychosocial factors that you found were present in this individual’s background and that may explain why your client (John Wayne Gacy) committed such heinous criminal acts.
For the purpose of this assignment and your final paper in Week 5, you will assume that your client is facing the death penalty, and your job is to use the results of your biopsychosocial investigation to provide credible evidence that your client should not be executed by the state. For this assignment, you will proceed as if your client has not yet been sentenced and thus is still alive, even though your client may have ultimately been found guilty and may have been executed (or may have otherwise died in prison).
Analyze a minimum of two particular psychological factors that are relevant to the client’s criminal behavior such as specific environmental or situational, biological, or mental health issues that may have contributed to this individual’s crimes.
Create an annotated outline that examines a minimum of two particular psychological factors explaining your client’s criminal behaviors
Discuss, in two to three sentences, each topic or step in each section of the outline.
Cite specific examples from the sources that support your research and analysis.
Must be four to five pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted as an annotated outline.
See the OutliningLinks to an external site. resource for further information regarding the proper format.
Must include a separate title page with the following:
Title of paper
Student’s name
Course name and number

Title: Case Study Report: Analyzing the Management of Intelligence Functions in the Atlanta Olympic Bombing Investigation

Please note – *This is not a paper, no title page etc; you will submit a text entry submission ~ I want to make this as simple as possible, list heading and the write to it (per Case Study Report Format in this week’s module and link below).
This assignment requires you to follow the Case Study Report Format $WIKI_REFERENCE$/pages/writing-a-case-study-report?module_item_id=g316d9d221d9a9f4c1a876e32774aaf25, that I will again repeat further below. This assignment requires you to do some detective work on identifying what was done wrong in managing analytical functions, articulating it, and then proposing resolutions to problems/issues you found/identified in the case. There are many viable outcomes on writing this case study, therefore please make sure I can follow your methodology and it flows in an organized and cohesive fashion.
I do not have a sample case study report paper for the class, any examples I would provide I think would cause more confusion then benefits since the topics, methodologies and outcomes would be significantly different than what is required for this course and assignment.
Please watch my video lecture on this assignment and use what we’ve learned throughout the semester ~ Thank you & you will do great!!
CASE STUDY #2 Assignment Requirement is:
You are to assess what failures law enforcement made specifically in regard to the management of intelligence analysis functions and articulate how it should have been conducted instead.
Explain your analysis of the case and identify key analytical managing problems that occurred
Articulate resolutions to identified problems and changes needed
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
1,2 & 3 below are to help you get started on being able to author a Case Study Report for the Atlanta Olympic Bombing, as we saw in the readings and my video lecture there were many deficiencies and errors on how the analytics of this investigation was mismanaged.
1. Read and Examine the Case Thoroughly
– Take notes, highlight relevant facts, underline key problems.
2. Focus Your Analysis
–   Identify key problems. – Why do they exist? – Who is responsible for them?
3. Uncover Possible Solutions/Changes Needed
– Review course readings, discussions, outside research, your experience.
Then your Case Study Report must be formatted per the example provided in canvas and repeated again below:
See this link on the format of the Case Study Report (also in canvas in this module):  $WIKI_REFERENCE$/pages/writing-a-case-study-report?module_item_id=g316d9d221d9a9f4c1a876e32774aaf25
Grading Criteria:
You are to assess what failures law enforcement made specifically in regard to the management of intelligence analysis functions and articulate how it should have been conducted instead.
