The reaction paper consists of a 2-page paper (excluding name, titles, reference
information, or other supplemental content) on an academic journal article that is relevant
to topics covered in lectures or the text.
The article is your choice but must be from a reputable peer reviewed academic journal and relevant to the course. You are encouraged to attach a copy of the articles to an e-mail as a pdf file for approval prior to writing the paper.
The papers must consist of at least 2 full pages of content (12 point font in ‘times new roman’ or ‘arial’, double spaced, and 1 inch margins).
The paper should include a brief summary of the article (1 page or less). The remainder of
the paper should be your opinion of the article, how it relates to information covered in class, how it relates to your personal experiences, and / or a critique of the article.
At least a portion of the paper should relate to the research methods being used.
An APA style reference list must be included.
Papers will not be graded without the reference information.
In addition, you must be able to provide a copy of your article upon request.
The entire paper must be in your own words. The use of direct quotes is prohibited.
Reference material, titles, names, etc. do not count toward the 2 pages.
You must have at least 2 pages of actual content.
