You will write a two-page (maximum) essay to include a reference page and two references in APA format addressing: Describe how standards and discipline apply to the Army culture and what can you do to improve them within your unit?. The winner will be selected by the Commandant and recognized with a Certificate of Achievement during graduation. The recipient of the Commandant’s Writing Award will have the award annotated on their DA Form 1059, Service School Academic Evaluation Report (AER).
