Title: “Dengue Fever: A Global Threat to Public Health”

Undergraduate Students are required to complete a 3-4-page double-spaced, typewritten report on a global infectious disease topic, of their choice (850-1000 words max).
Each report must include a cover page, outline/abstract (150-250 words) and a works cited page.
The cover page and reference page(s) do not contribute to the 4-page requirement for the term paper.
The paper needs to be a minimum of 3 double-spaced, typewritten full pages to receive full credit.
The paper should be typed in Times New Roman or Arial or Calibri font, size 12.
Questions that should be entertained and answered in the report are:
• What is Dengue Fever? Including history of the disease
• Where is Dengue Fever found (i.e. regions of the world afflicted by this disease)?
• Etiology & Mode(s) of transmission i.e. how is Dengue Fever spread? What microorganism is
involved? Is there a vector?
• What are the symptoms of Dengue Fever?
• What is the course of illness? Prognosis?
• Treatment Options
• Preventative Measures
• Impact of this disease on International Health
The paper should be well written in a format that is structurally and grammatically correct. The finished paper should be free of spelling errors. The paper must contain a title, your name and outline page as well as a works cited page. You must cite all your references in APA format. At least three (3) different references must be used, excluding your textbook. Only one Internet sources are allowed
