Debbie Roberts is a 12 year old eighth grader who is 10 weeks pregnant. She has been a good student and her teacher reports she has never been a problem. The school nurse referred Debbie to the school social worker, because Debbie refused to speak on her condition with the nurse. At first, Debbie also refused to speak with the school social worker, but later she told her that she does not want to have an abortion. Debbie repeatedly stated that she did not want her parents to know that she is pregnant. Debbie will to reveal who the father is, but the social worker suspects that Debbie may have been sexually abused. Debbie also stated she when she leaves the social worker’s office, she will shoot her 25 year old cousin, James.
