This is a list of the following elements and requirements for the final technical report.

Technical report must meet the eight-page single-spaced (minimum) requirement.
Technical report must have a title page that identifies the specific topic your report discusses. You must include the title, my name, your name, and the date. This page does not count toward the eight-page requirement.
A Table of Contents which must include all major headings of report, matching format and wording of headings in the text. The Table of Contents must indicate the hierarchy (headings and subheadings) by indenting each area of the report itself. The Table of Contents page does not count toward the eight-page requirement.
The technical report must have a body, beginning with a description and background of problem or need that led to the report. This introduction must include a purpose statement, it must clearly state the methods of data (information) treatment and research methods. The report must conclude with a plan or solution.
Diction and word choices MUST be clear, correct, economical, and complete.
Misspelled words with negatively affect a student’s grades.
Findings from the report must be controlled by a clear purpose.
Topic sentences must introduce each paragraph correctly.
Data analysis must explain, clarify, and define the final results.
Body pages must be numbered correctly.
Visuals must support and explain findings. They must also be numbered sequentially and be relevant to the report’s topic.
Format should have a good balance of text, visuals, and white space. Appropriate margins are essential and the entire technical report must use the same font throughout.
The conclusion must summarize the information in the report. It must recommend specific remedies or plans.
The technical Report must contain:
Title Page
Table of Contents
Three levels of headings
Lists, either bulleted or numbered
Two to three charts or graphs
One diagram or photo
Works Cited Page that includes both textual citations and illustrative citations. (This page does not count toward the eight page requirement. Therefore, you would assign your Works Cited Page as Page 9.
ATTENTION: PLAGIARISM, even if unintentional, will result in a failed paper. I will have to report plagiarized work to the Dean of Student Affairs and you will fail the course. So be very careful about citing sources. This is the largest project of the semester so it gets the biggest grade.
Rubric:
Must be a minimum of eight single-spaced pages with eight or more verifiable sources (20 points)
Contain proper English, using active verbs (10 points)
Include Table of Contents and Works Cited page (20 points)
Include Overview of final report topic (20 points)
Include Graphics, graphs, headings and subheading, lists (10 points)
Error free document (20 points)
