The purpose of this assignment is to develop an interactional plan for counseling with a couple or family. I have a brief description of a made up situation that I want my paper based off of. An excellent paper will encorperate You have the flexability to describe the case from beginning to end or to focus on making movement in a single session (though you still have to briefly describe your plans for more sessions) Maybe add in a referral to someone else is the appropriate intervention. Write a treatment plan, mock genogram, and an actual dialogue should be included. You should define the goals and changes that need to be made and describe how you meet those in goals.
Description of the family I want you to build the case study on:
Bob is in his mid 20’s, he is self referred to your drug and alcohol agency.He reports black-out drinking and is scared at his behavior when he drinks. His girlfriend reports that Bob physically hit her but Bob doesn’t remember it happening. Bob’s girlfriend wants him to get help or she will leave him. The couple has a new baby and has a lot of pressure.
Demographics: Name, age, sex, race
Presenting problem: Drug history, length of time in treatment/phase of treatment, relapse, sanctions
Treatment plans: Goals of treatment, attendance/participation, progress prognosis (relapse potential) termination plan.
