Provide details about your sources in a page labeled References, following American Psychological Association (APA) format. and follow the format for in text citations. Include a title page and number your pages. The title and reference pages do not count toward the essay total.

Parental incarceration has a range of consequences for children, caregivers, and the incarcerated parent.
One way that parents and children can maintain contact is through in-person visits at the facility and or video visits. After consulting a range of sources including peer-reviewed research articles. reports and websites, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of children maintaining contact with incarcerated parents. What are the implications for the child, caregiver and incarcerated parent both during the period of confinement, and upon reentry? How might visits support or hinder the process of reentry and reintegration?
