“The Power of Language: An Exploration of Communication and Its Impact on Society”

I need you to add 5 pages to my already written 5-page paper. you have full creative liberty to take apart and reform this paper I wrote the first paper and received a C. My teacher provided feedback (on the bottom of the paper) and said he wanted the essay converted from a 5-page essay to a 10-12 page one. I will attach the essay along with the rubric. He is meticulous and nit-picky, so please go into depth and don’t be vague. Also, I’ve attached some of the class resources for you to use and cite. Please Use them. Please don’t go too far, of course, because he wants it to be about our class readings.

Title: The Complexities of Race Relations in America: Lessons from “Who Killed Vincent Chin?”

video link:

Prompt
After watching the film Who Killed Vincent Chin? (1988) by Christine Choy and Renee Tajima-Pena, critically reflect on how the documentary raises questions about the complexity of race relations, and how Chin’s case exposed the falsehood that race relations in America as black and white. You may select one of the questions below.
1) how institutionalized racism and practices of Asian exclusion through American laws and policies (such as Chinese Exclusion Act and other immigration laws, Japanese American internment) created the circumstances that led Ebens and Nitz to take Chin’s life; or
2) how Chin’s death fueled Asian American activism to seek redress through legal means who were tired of having to prove they were as American as their white neighbors.
For full points, you must cite two sources, and please pay attention to the grading rubric.
Assignment Details
In lieu of a midterm exam, the reflection journals will be worth 25% of the final grade. Please write a journal entry responding to the prompt above. You should write for a smart, curious lay audience: imagine your fellow Titans that have not taken this class.
Your entry must be at least 500 words or more (2 pages double-spaced), laying out your position/argument clearly and drawing on class readings as useful (if you use outside sources, you must also cite those sources). Be sure to define any terms that may be unfamiliar to your readers (fellow Titans), and to cite the readings you reference. For example, if you cite Dorothy Roberts, you must include the citation at the end of your entry.
Chicago format: Roberts, Dorothy. “Introduction” in Fatal Invention How Science, Politics, and Big Business Re-Create Race in the Twenty-First Century. New York: The New Press, 2011.
My grading will focus on how well the paper answers the question and offers evidence in support of your position/argument, but I will also consider how well-written it is (this includes full and complete sentences using proper grammar).
This assignment will be submitted on this page by clicking on the “Submit” button at the top of the page. You may upload your own document, provide a link to your webpage, or use text field given, type in the response and submit when done.
