Title: The Necessity of Impounding Cars for Texting While Driving Offenses

Write a three-page (750 words) Persuasive Position Essay (length not including title page and reference page) on a controversial topic of your choice. You will be arguing in order to change someone’s mind.
Read scholarly material on your chosen subject area, articulate a thesis (a claim) in which you state a position on the topic, and then use outside sources to prove or support your thesis.
The thesis statement (usually one sentence) expresses the main stand to be supported in the body of your paper.
Give your thesis definite content.  Make your thesis authoritative; write about something you know. Make a point and take a stand worth defending.
Don’t make the thesis a set of facts. Rather, it must be a position that you will be supporting throughout the body of your paper. For example, you might decide on the following: It is not enough to levy a fine on a driver caught texting; police should also be given the right to impound the offender’s car.
Avoid exaggerated language and excessive emotionalism in the thesis statement.
A good thesis statement can start with an objection to the main point to prove that you have considered both sides of the argument.  This is often created by using the “although clause.”
Reference a minimum of four scholarly sources.
Reference the Hacker and Sommers textbook C3, sections a-e and C4, sections b-h, as needed.
Present your essay in APA manuscript format with all research cited as per APA documentation style
