Title: “International Economic Relationships of Hungary: An Analysis of Trade Patterns, Foreign Direct Investment, and Barriers to Trade and Investment”

The paper assignment will let you look in detail at one country, Hungary, and its international economic relationships. Write a paper to answer the following questions as it directly relates to the country Hungary, located in Europe and part of the European Union. 
1.     What are the major import and export commodities? In which industries do you observe a lot of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)? Have these changed over the last 10 years, and why? 
2.     Which countries are its major trading partners? Which countries do foreign direct investment in your chosen country? Where does your country do its FDI? 
3.     What are good explanations for these trade patterns, based on what we have studied (factor endowments, technology, etc)? And what explains the FDI patterns? Support your conclusions with facts and evidence from other studies. 
4.     Has the country attempted recently to lower its barriers to trade and investment, and how? 
5.     Is the country a member of any regional Free Trade Areas? What seem to be the costs and benefits of this membership? 
Be sure to include examples of how the Ricardian model, the Heckscher-Ohlin model, and the Specific Factors model relate to the questions stated above. As well as major economic theories that help answer the above questions. 
Your paper should be maximum eight double-space pages long, including tables and references.

1) Create a title for your paper. Individual Paper #1 is NOT acceptable.
2) No need to provide a title page.
3) Must be typed in a word document; use double-spacing, 12-point font.
4) Include bibliography or references.

Use APA (American Psychological Association) writing style: Cite a
source in parentheses after any quotations or after assertions that are
based on a reading. Example of in-text citations: (Hoyer, MacInnis,
& Pieters, 2018). Provide page numbers if you quote from an article
or a book directly. For example, different from opinion leaders, market
mavens are consumers “on whom others rely for information about the
marketplace in general”(Hoyer, MacInnis, & Pieters, 2018, p. 298).
