“Analyzing and Resolving a Personal Conflict: A Self-Reflection” “Navigating Conflict: Understanding and Managing Differences in a Relationship” Title: Exploring Identity Issues in Conflict Resolution and Strategies for Improvement

The purpose of this paper  is  to analyze a specific conflict you have had or continue to have with a specific person. Your relationship with this person may be ongoing or in the past. You must incorporate the course’s concepts and terminology from the text in your analysis and self-reflection.  Be sure to include an introduction that provides the reader with a preview to the content of your paper and a conclusion that summarizes the major concepts and describes what you have learned from writing this paper.
8pages, APA format, double spaced. Minimum 3 references, 2 must be scholarly.

II. Nature of the Conflict
When did the conflict start? What caused it? Was it a series of events or just one event?
When did the conflict originate? Why did it occur?
Use a metaphor to describe your conflict.
Has the nature of this conflict changed over time? If so, how?

How does the other person feel about your feelings on the conflict?

Exploring Conflict Resolution Theories and Cultural Awareness and Clash Scenarios (a) One of the theories related to socio-cultural in chapter two is the Sociocultural Theory of Conflict. This theory suggests that conflicts arise due to differences in cultural backgrounds,

1. From chapter two, The Theoretical Bases of Conflict Resolution ( p.62), students will: (a) Summarize one of the theories related to biological, psychological, social, or socio-cultural in at least one paragraph. (b) In two paragraphs, explain what resonated with you and how you can apply this theory to understand and resolve conflict. 2. Now that you are informed about the various theories, address the following questions. The following questions in your textbook deal with global, diversity, and cultural scenarios. Analyze each scenario and thoroughly answer the questions from your textbook. Be sure to integrate your knowledge from the chapter readings in your analysis! Cultural Awareness (chapter 1, p.57; question #9) In addition to analyzing three groups, be sure to address the question: How do you think your culture affects how you deal with conflicts?
