Title: The Role of Moral Ownership, Efficacy, and Courage in Demonstrating Socially Responsible Leadership

First, revisit the four components of moral behavior as cited in Ethics, an Overview. Then, review the video, Building Business on Character Ethic, as well as the process described in the video, Being Your Best Self, Part 4: Moral Action:
“A person who wishes to act ethically must (1) recognize ethical issues when he or she runs across them (moral awareness); (2) have the ability to reach a defensible resolution of the question as to what is the right thing to do in that setting (moral decision-making); (3) desire to do the right thing (moral intent); and finally, (4) be able to act on that intent (moral action).”
As noted in the Being Your Best Self, Part 4: Moral Action video, “Moral action involves taking the necessary steps to transform the intent to do the right thing into reality. This includes moral ownership, moral efficacy, and moral courage.”
Using the content presented in this module and conducting your own research, write a 2- to 3-page paper (minimum of 500 words) in APA format that answers the following:
Describe the role of moral ownership, moral efficacy, and moral courage in taking moral action and demonstrating socially responsible leadership.
Think of a time when you took moral action and overcame an ethical challenge and describe the situation. How did your values help you to overcome the challenge? How did demonstrating moral ownership, moral efficacy, and/or moral courage impact your ability to act ethically?
How does your moral character affect your decision-making and leadership style in a business context? [MO 6.1, MO 6.2, MO 6.3]
