Guidelines:
1. Philosophical papers are inherently argumentative. The philosophical problem should be explicitly stated before making your arguments.
2. Briefly discuss the related literature on the topic. Most of the time, we think that our present stand on the issue is original and our own when it has already been discussed by existing literature. Make sure to do your research.
3. Subheadings are optional. They help give a clearer structure of your paper. FYI, subheadings are not limited to “Introduction,” “RRL,” and “Conclusion.”
4. Write a title for your paper.

Title: Exploring the Social Dimension of Mental Health Stigma: A Mixed-Methods Approach

Think about your own research project and identify a social dimension of that research. It can be loosely related to your research topic.
Explain how you would use a qualitative or mixed-methods approach to study that social dimension you identified.
In ~1000 words document, include the following (you can use these as headings in your report):
Explain what your research focus is from a social dimension and why it is important to study. You can include research objectives and/or research questions. (3 marks)
Justify what approach would be suitable for conducting that research (i.e., a qualitative or mixed methods approach. (3 marks)
Briefly describe what data collection and data analysis methods you would use and justify why they would be suitable for the research. (4 marks)
Reference social science research design texts (books, book chapters or journal articles) to provide strong justification for the research design you propose.
(You can choose to write in the first person, for example “I will…… I chose….)
