1.) I recommended using the outline template because it helps you to make sure you have all of the right components: a clear thesis in the intro, a preview of your main points, transitions, main point sentences, etc.
This is a huge topic and I think you are trying to cover too much. What is your thesis? Your thesis should be a simple, declarative sentence that sums up your entire speech. Ideally, your audience would be able to repeat it back to you.
2. ) Tell your audience why your sources are credible. You will benefit from credibility transfer.
3.) Be careful of becoming a persuasive speech. This speech should be informative only.
